Overview
The Suprema X-Station 2 is a versatile intelligent terminal designed for access control, employee identification and time-and-attendance applications in corporate offices, commercial buildings, data centres, educational facilities and other secure environments. It combines a 4-inch IPS colour touchscreen, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 16 GB flash memory and 1 GB RAM with extensive credential options. Depending on the selected X-Station 2 model, authentication can include RFID smart cards, PIN, NFC/Bluetooth mobile credentials, QR codes and barcodes, and fingerprint recognition. Supported card technologies include 125 kHz EM and, depending on model, HID Prox, as well as 13.56 MHz MIFARE, MIFARE Plus, DESFire EV1/EV2/EV3, FeliCa and selected HID iCLASS/Seos technologies. The platform supports up to 500,000 users and 5 million text event logs, making it suitable for both standalone doors and large enterprise access-control deployments.For professional security installations, X-Station 2 provides 10/100 Ethernet, PoE, RS-485 with OSDP V2 compliance, selectable Wiegand input/output, two configurable inputs, an integrated relay, USB 2.0 host connectivity and tamper detection. Its IP65-rated enclosure allows deployment in demanding indoor and appropriately protected outdoor locations, while Secure Boot and a dedicated cryptographic security chip help strengthen device and credential protection. Fingerprint-equipped variants use a 500 dpi sensor with software-based live fingerprint detection, while QR-capable versions can authenticate QR/barcode credentials through the integrated camera; selected configurations also support expanded barcode formats through applicable licensing.
